A Food Establishment license is required of any person or company that prepares or serves food that is intended for immediate consumption. Examples of establishments that must be licensed are:
- Cafeterias
- Daycare centers
- Hotels
- Restaurants
- Snack bars
- Any similar establishment
Code Requirements
Guidance relating to Food Establishments is contained in the Maplewood City Code, Chapter 14, Article VI; Minnesota Statutes Section 145A and Section 157; and Minnesota Rules 4626. All license holders are required to be familiar with the provisions of this Chapter and with applicable Minnesota Statutes and federal regulations.
