A Public Pool license is required of any person or company operating a pool, other than a private residential pool, intended to be used by the general public for swimming or bathing.
Guidance relating to Public Pools is contained in the Maplewood City Code, Chapter 12, Article XII, Division 2. All license holders are required to be familiar with the provisions of this Chapter and with applicable Minnesota Statutes and federal regulations.
Applications for a Public Pool license have been transitioned from paper applications to an online system (Accela) and is available via the Citizen Access portal.

License term runs May 1 through April 30, annually. Renewal must occur on or before date of expiration.
All license fees are set by the City of Maplewood Fee Schedule.
