Seven Brew Coffee is proposing a new drive-thru-only location within the existing parking lot of Half Price Books, on the west side of the property adjacent to White Bear Avenue. The project includes a 510-square-foot building, a 388-square-foot remote cooler, and a trash enclosure. There will be no indoor seating or outdoor speaker system. Instead, customers will place their orders directly with a barista under a canopy, and the drinks will be delivered to them in their vehicles.
The proposal includes two drive-thru lanes and eight short-term parking stalls. To accommodate the new building, 34 existing parking spaces would be removed. The parking lot currently provides 196 spaces for both Half Price Books and the adjacent Michaels store, though city requirements call for 207 spaces. Because of this, the applicant is requesting a waiver to reduce the required number of parking spaces for the overall site.
