Landlord & Tenants: Rights and Responsibilities Handbook - Provided by the Minnesota Attorney General’s office, this handbook spells out the rights and responsibilities for renters and property owners in Minnesota, including how leases work, maintenance rules, security deposits, legal notices, and more, to help you understand and protect your housing rights. The city cannot act as a tenant advocate or provide legal advice to tenants or landlords.

Ramsey County District Court - Minnesota Statute 504B.385 allows renters to file a Rent Escrow Action against their landlord if the landlord fails to maintain the property. The Second District Court can provide you with more information on how to do this; please call 651-266-8230.
