The office of the City Clerk issues various types of residential licenses and permits. License and permit requirements and fees vary. In this section, you will find a list of the licenses and permits issued through the Citizen Services Department at the City of Maplewood. Block Party Permit
A Block Party permit is required of any person or business hosting a an event which requires the entire or portion of the surrounding road to be closed.
Dangerous / Potentially Dangerous Dog Registration
No person may keep a dangerous or potentially dangerous dog in the city of Maplewood unless the dog is registered with the City, in compliance with City Code requirements.
Dogs & Cats
A license is no longer required for Maplewood residents who keep dogs or cats on their property; however, there are other requirements/restrictions in place.
Motorized Recreational Vehicle License
A license is required of any person who owns and operates a recreational motor vehicle on private property, except as allowed by City Code.
Noise Control Waiver Request
A permit is required of any person or company who engages in an activity that causes or creates excessive noise or disturbance between the hours of 7 pm and 7 am Monday through Saturday and all day Sunday, except as allowed by City Code.
A permit is required of any person keeping poultry on their property. Roosters are prohibited, and up to 10 poultry are allowed on any lot, in all zoning districts.
