As a part of its delegation agreement with the MN Department of Health, the City of Maplewood maintains a food, pool, and lodging safety program dedicated to safeguarding public health, preventing foodborne illnesses, and ensuring cleanliness standards that meet consumer expectations. Maplewood's Environmental Health Officer is responsible for conducting inspections of the following types of operations within the City of Maplewood:
- Food Establishments
- Lodging Establishments
- Mobile Food Units
- Public Pools
Additionally, health plan reviews are conducted on new and existing food and lodging establishments and mobile food units operating in Maplewood. The MN Department of Health conducts plan reviews on public pools. Maplewood's health plan review applications are available through our Citizen Access Portal at www.MaplewoodMN.gov/ACA.
