You can vote before election day in two ways:
- By an absentee ballot during the 46 days before election day
- By voting early and casting your ballot directly into the voting machine during the 7 days before election day

To vote, you must be:
- 18 years of age and older
- A United States citizen
- Have lived in Minnesota for at least 20 days by election day

It is true that you can register at the polls on election day. However, specific identification is required at that time. Voting will be faster and easier if you are registered to vote when you arrive at the polls on election day.

The City of Maplewood needs people to serve as election judges. These are paid positions. Training is provided. If you are interested and are able to work on election day from 6 am until votes are counted in the evening (usually around 10 or 11 pm), call 651-249-2003.
