Harambee is a year-round Kindergarten through 6th-grade elementary school located at 30 County Road B East in Maplewood. Our name is Swahili word that means working together for a common purpose. Harambee’s mission is to create a community of learners whose achievement and well-being are enhanced by diversity, which is valued and celebrated! We strive to provide unique, exciting, and effective learning experiences for all of our students so they may become confident learners. Harambee is an integration school, bringing together students from urban and suburban neighborhoods for a more diverse community. As a designated integration school, free transportation is available for most of the east metro.

Harmony Learning Center
Harmony Learning Center is a District 622 school serving special education students, grades Kindergarten through 12th, located at 1961 East County Road C in Maplewood. This is a nontraditional educational setting utilizing an interdisciplinary and comprehensive approach to focus on students' academic, social and emotional needs. The predominate focus is to nurture students' mental and emotional health with the goal of returning them to their home school whenever possible.
