Residential Alarm System

A permit is required of any person who possesses, or subscribes to an alarm system which is intended to summon police, fire or emergency medical services. An alarm system which is designed to alert only inhabitants of a premise does not require a permit.

The permit is non-transferrable to a new residence or new residents.

Code Requirements
Guidance relating to Alarm Systems is contained in the Maplewood City Code, Chapter 4. All permit holders are required to be familiar with the provisions of this Chapter.
Application Requirements
The Residential Alarm System permit runs January 1 through December 31, annually.  Renewal must occur on or before the date of expiration.
