About the Project:

The Gervais Area Pavement Rehabilitation is underway. This project includes the removal and replacement of the failing street pavement, spot replacement of severely deteriorated sections of concrete curb and gutter, minor upgrades to the storm sewer and sanitary sewer systems, replacement of the existing cast iron water main in portions of the project, the installation of a sidewalk on the north side of 11^th Avenue from White Bear Avenue to Ariel Street, and the installation of a sidewalk along the east side of Ariel Street from County Road C to 9th Avenue.

Ariel Street is a border street with the City of North St. Paul. Maplewood and North Saint Paul are working together to ensure the project is meeting the needs of both City's residents.

Project Status: 

Construction on this occurred from late May through early November of 2022. The majority of the project improvements have been completed. City staff will perform a warranty inspection of the project area in the spring of 2023. Any items needing correction will happen at that time.
