Montana-Nebraska Area Pavement Rehabilitation, City Project 20-08

About the Project:

The Montana-Nebraska Project is a pavement rehabilitation project scheduled for construction in 2021. This project includes the replacement of the failed street pavement, the spot replacement of severely deteriorated concrete curb and gutter,  and minor upgrades to the underground utilities (sanitary sewer, storm sewer, watermain).

Project Status:

The Feasibility Study for this project was approved by the Maplewood City Council in January of 2021. This report includes information on the scope of the project, the estimated project costs, the methods for financing the improvements, and a preliminary project schedule. The City Council awarded a construction contract to T.A. Schifsky and Sons, Inc. at the May 10, 2021 meeting.

The contractor has chosen to break this project into two phases. The streets included in each phase can be viewed on the Phasing Map. The contractor has also provided a Preliminary Project Schedule as a general guide to how the project will progress over the coming months. Please keep in mind that the schedule for a project of this size can change quickly. We will provide updates to this schedule as the project progresses.

If you have any questions or comments in regards to the project, please feel free to reach out to Project Manager Jon Jarosch by phone at (651) 249-2405, or by email at jon.jarosch@maplewoodmn.gov .
