The Dennis-McClelland Area Street Improvements, City Project 19-10, is a full street reconstruction project with construction proposed to begin in May of 2020 and finish in October of 2020. The project includes many improvements to the neighborhood streets, including a full removal of the existing street, installation of two new pavement layers, new aggregate base layer, sand sub-base layer and new concrete curb and gutter. Utility improvements include the removal and replacement of the break-susceptible watermain system, installation of a new storm sewer system, and repairs to the existing sanitary sewer system.
This project is currently under construction. The Contractor currently has multiple crews working throughout the project area in an effort to ensure the project gets completed in 2020. This has resulted in multiple north-south streets being blocked at any given time during construction hours. You will be able to get out of the neighborhood at all times, but you will need to look up each street as you try to navigate out of or into the neighborhood. We will do our best to help guide you through the construction site. Please feel free to ask any onsite worker for help in navigating the site.
Please view the current project schedule in the Informational Project Documents below.
Due to the COVID-19 situation, the Assessment Hearing has been delayed until fall of 2020. An official statement of assessment, along with further information regarding the assessments, will be sent out in advance of the hearing.
