The Dennis-McClelland Area Street Improvements, City Project 19-10, is a full street reconstruction project with construction proposed to begin in May of 2020 and finish in October of 2020. The project includes many improvements to the neighborhood streets, including a full removal of the existing street, installation of two new pavement layers, new aggregate base layer, sand sub-base layer and new concrete curb and gutter. Utility improvements include the removal and replacement of the break-susceptible watermain system, installation of a new storm sewer system, and repairs to the existing sanitary sewer system.
This project is currently under construction. The utility work is nearing completion and is scheduled to be completed in early September. The remaining street aggregate base work and concrete curb and gutter is anticipated to be completed by the end of September, with the first layer of pavement coming shortly thereafter. The overall project is on schedule and should be completed by the end of October.

Due to the COVID-19 situation, the Assessment Hearing has been delayed until fall of 2020. An official statement of assessment, along with further information regarding the assessments, will be sent out in advance of the hearing. It is anticipated that the assessment hearing will be held on October 12, 2020.
