Ferndale-Ivy Area Street Improvements

About the Project

Ferndale-Ivy Area Street Improvements, City Project 18-01, is a full street reconstruction project with completed in 2019. The project included many improvements to the neighborhood including the full removal of the existing street, the installation of new pavement, a new aggregate base and sand sub-base to support the road, and new concrete curb and gutter. Utility improvements included upgrades to the watermain system, sanitary sewer system, and the installation of a new storm sewer system. Concrete sidewalks were also installed along Ivy Avenue and Ferndale Street to provide an off-street location for pedestrians.

Project Status

The Ferndale-Ivy Area Improvements have been completed. City staff will inspect the project area in 2020 to identify any necessary repairs. These repairs would be made under the Contractor’s warranty. Area residents will be notified in advance if any of the warranty repairs will cause a major disruption.
