Items Accepted
Load it right – accepted items listed in order of drop off location at the Spring Clean Up. Load your vehicle/trailer so the first item dropped off is the item most accessible if possible.
- Entry Gate (Fee Collection, Food Shelf Donations)
- Recycle Area (Unwanted/Expired Medicine, Reusable Clothing and Shoes, Bicycles [Any Condition], Small Engines, Mattresses and Box Springs, Appliances, Electronics [televisions, computers, etc.])
- Disposal Area (Carpet and Carpet Pad [Any Condition], Municipal Solid Waste [residential trash], Building Materials from Residential Demolition Projects, Furniture that Cannot be Reused, Bulky Metals, Car and Pick-Up Truck Tires and Rims)

Fees charged per vehicle type, not per item, as follows:
- Car $30
- SUV $35
- Pick Up Truck $40
- Van $45
- Cargo Van $50
- Moving Van (up to 10’) $85
- Moving Van (10’ to 16’) $110
- Moving Van (over 16’) Not Allowed
- Trailer (up to 8’) $60
- Trailer (over 16’) Not Allowed
- Shredding Only Free
- Payment in the form of cash, check made out to the City of Maplewood, or credit card.
- Trailer fee in addition to vehicle fee (if items are in vehicle).
Food and Cash Drive for Merrick Community Services and Local Food Shelfs
Consider donating to local food shelfs at the Spring Clean Up. Top items needed include monetary contributions (cash or check made out to Merrick Community Services), cooking oils and vinegars, spices, cooking sauces, proteins (peanut butter, tuna, etc.), and grains (rice, noodles, etc.).
Shredding Express Lane
Free shredding-only express lane. Safely dispose of your confidential paper documents in secure mobile paper shredding trucks. All shredded paper is recycled into paper products such as napkins, toilet paper, and blue shop towels.
No Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) at Spring Clean Up
