The main playground structure at Battle Creek Regional Park will be replaced in 2018. A series of community meetings will be held to determine what kind of play structure should replace the current play ground. Members of the community and park users are encouraged to attend the upcoming meetings.

Ages 2-5. Hit, run, and throw your way into fun with Lil' Sluggers! Lil' Sluggers is a nationwide company that teaches the fundamental skills of baseball and softball to the littlest athletes in a fun and positive environment. The program is designed to prepare the littlest athletes into their journey of organized team play by improving and developing their social and physical skills both on and off the field. Sluggers will learn how to throw, field, catch, hit, and run the bases. Program will build upon the skills learned in previous sessions.

Grades 2-5. Flag football is one of the fastest growing sports throughout the country. Join us this year for a short four week mini league to get introduced to the sport. The first week will involve practices and the next three weeks will be games. Flag football is a fun, non-contact sport that teaches boys and girls the fundamentals of football, while offering lessons in sportsmanship and teamwork. There will be two divisions offered, grades 2-3 and grades 4-5. Parent volunteers are needed to coach and assist players during the practices and games.

This class is for those who have had little to no tennis experience. You'll learn all the basic strokes and rules of tennis. Each session will end with group games emphasizing fun while improving strokes. Participants must bring their own rackets.

The City of Maplewood is now offering a fun "Bags" League. Grab a partner and join other teams in throwing some bags in our fun bags league. Games are played outdoors at Four Seasons Park. League rules available online. Teams consist of 2 players and each week teams will play a match consisting of 3 games. League champions will receive champion tshirts. Register by September 5.

This program is for players who want to take their game to the next level! Improve stroke technique, footwork, and serves. Participants should be able to maintain a short rally and must bring their own rackets.
